DIVISIONS
The UK League offers an exceptional coed 4v4 and 7v7 indoor soccer program aimed at cultivating players for elevated levels of competition. Comprising four divisions: U8 - U12, Middle School, High School, and College/Pre Pro/Pro. The UK league provides a dynamic blend of enjoyment and competitiveness. The UK League is played twice a year once in the summer and once in the winter. This is our 4th official season in a row (2nd winter season).
COLLEGE/PRO
College/Pre Pro & Pro Division: The College/Pre Pro/Pro division comprises coed 7v7 encounters with goalkeepers, extending to 75 minutes (four 18 - 22min quarters). This division demands a high level of cerebral play and physical prowess. Players in this category bring diverse styles of play, compelling others to adapt swiftly, thus elevating the overall level of competition. The 60x26 yard indoor field sets the stage for these advanced encounters.
U8 - U12
U8 - U12 Division: Within the U8 - U12 division, we engage in coed 4v4 matches without goalkeepers, spanning 40 minutes each (four 10min quarters). Our primary focus revolves around honing advanced foot skills and technical proficiency. While we do incorporate tactical elements, our emphasis here is firmly placed on technical development.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School Division: The Middle School division is characterized by coed 7v7 games with goalkeepers, lasting 50 minutes (25min halves). These games are geared towards instilling a strong grasp of team tactics. At this level, we delve deeply into tactical instruction, as we expect players to have already attained a solid technical foundation. The indoor turf field measures 60x26 yards.
HIGH SCHOOL
High School Division: Our High School division features coed 7v7 matches with goalkeepers, also lasting 50 minutes (25min halves). We place a significant emphasis on pace, tactics, and precision through 1 & 2 touch play. Here, our coaching heavily emphasizes high-press strategies both in and out of possession, as well as the development of 1 & 2 touch combination play. The field dimensions remain consistent at 60x26 yards on indoor turf.
Winter League Rules
Team Composition: Each team consists of 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper (7 total players).
Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed on the fly, but the player coming off the field must be behind the SCOR wall before the new player can come on.
Timeouts: Each coach has one 60-second timeout per match, to be used during their own team's possession only.
Tackling Rules: No slide tackling is allowed for field players. Goalkeepers can slide as long as they do so with their hands.
Yellow and Red Cards: A player issued a yellow card must leave the field for 2 minutes, and the team will play with one player down for that duration. Two yellow cards result in a red card, leading to the removal of the coach or player from the facility.
Injury Protocol: Play stops for head injuries or when a player is down for more than 20 seconds.
Uniforms: Coaches and players must wear UK-issued gear at all times without exceptions.
Jewelry: Players must remove all jewelry.
Shin Guards and Socks: Players must wear shin guards and tall socks that cover the shin guards for safety.
Guest Players: No guest players are allowed. A team with only 4 field players available will forfeit the match.
Safety: All participants are responsible for their safety and the safety of others. Reckless and dangerous play that could cause harm is strictly prohibited.
Respect for Game Masters and Referees: The league places great importance on respecting the game masters and referees. Verbal abuse, harassment, or intimidation of game masters and referees will not be tolerated. Decisions made by the officials should be respected, even if teams or players disagree with them. Disputes should be handled through proper channels as outlined in the rule book.
These rules are crucial to maintain the safety, integrity, and sportsmanship of the league. All participants, including players, coaches, and spectators, should adhere to these principles for a positive and enjoyable indoor soccer experience.
