Savannah Taylor holds an impressive background, having graduated from and played at Adelphi University. She played for KuPS (Kuopion Palloseura) in 2023, the reigning champions of Finland for the past three years, Apollon Ladies in UEFA Champions League (2022 and 2023) in addition to one other team in Cyprus. Currently, she represents the Armenian Senior National Team in the Euro Qualifiers, where they currently hold second place in their group and have the potential to qualify for the 2025 Euro. The team’s fate will be decided next month in the third final round of matches where they will face Romania and Bulgaria once more.

After taking a break from football following her last season in 2023, Taylor has returned to the game with a bang in the WPSL, bringing professionalism and a wealth of experience to the league. She aims to inspire younger players and women across the board.

As one of the captains of UNKNWN Football Club, Taylor has been instrumental in leading the team to a two-game winning streak this past weekend in Virginia.

“We lost our first three matches in the WPSL, which was devastating,” said Co-Head Coach Lauryn Hutchinson. “I met with Savannah multiple times to discuss changing our formation and style of play to better fit the team. I explained to her that I would need to rely heavily on her to help us achieve victories against the Washington Dutch Lions and Alexandria. I told my assistant, Zach Fontenot, that we needed to move Savannah from center back to a forward position to score and he agreed.”

In both games, Taylor was nearly flawless on both sides of the ball. Initially excelling in her role as a center back, she then moved up top, scoring three goals in two games to secure UNKNWN FC's first two victories in the WPSL. Her relentless drive and willingness to succeed are evident in her performance.
